45 Minute Class: 10:45-11:30am. Getting back to any form of Movement after having a Baby is tough!! ... Even as a Pilates teacher I still found it hard to prioritise my own Health & Wellbeing. This Pilates course is more than movement; it's a scheduled time to shift your focus to YOU, coming to a class feels completely different compared to squeezing some movement in at home. Not only do you receive thorough instruction, tips and guidance, but you also get to be in a room full of ladies in the same situation as yourself 💜 Here's what we're hoping to improve during the course: - Pelvic Floor Engagement - Safe Core Strength Exercises - Leg Strength & Toning - Arm Strength & Toning - Glute Strength (Bum Muscles) - Posture Correction & Alignment - How to Breathe during exercise to maximise the benefits - Stretches / Flexibility & Mobilising, to help after all the lifting / carrying baba. Ideally, with regards to the baby's role in the class, it would be best if baby is not yet crawling - only because, from past experience in teaching Postnatal classes, Mama does not get to focus on herself, due to watching or chasing baby around, trying to get them to lay down or sit next to them. Options of how baby can be part of the class: - They might actually sleep through the class - so in their car seat? Or on the mats that I provide with a blanket you bring along. - You might have a little seat for them, that they enjoy chilling in... - Always feel welcome to feed or change your baby through the class, I totally understand, babies have a mind of their own, you do what you need to do 😀 With regards to the Studio and what to bring with you: - Please refrain from bringing in a buggy / pram - there is not enough space in the studio or entrance passageway for this. - Car seats are no problem - especially if baby is going to sleep, or they are happy to sit in there and play with their toys - We will workout in either bare feet or socks. I have a Studio Policy of 'no shoes'. This is for hygiene reasons and bringing the outside rain/dirt into the Studio. Especially if babies are lying on the floor too. It keeps everything nice and clean. - Please wear comfortable & stretchy clothing. Possibly in layers to add or take off. - Remember a drink and maybe a small towel. Any further questions please ask, and I look forward to seeing you soon 😀 Ashleigh 😊
